It is with saddened hearts that we have lost a dear friend and past board member, Charlie Schaefer. A person with a kind heart and a never-ending smile.

With his wife Linda by his side for 15 years as board members, they were always ready to volunteer for the tasks ahead. Even after their terms ended you would see them driving the golf cart lending a helping hand when needed.

It has been a privilege to know and serve with Charlie over the years on the Monroe County Ag Society. Our thoughts and prayers are with the Schaefer family.

Still plenty of time to sign up for the 2026 Monroe County Junior Fairboard 5K Run/Walk that will take place on Saturday, April 18 at the Monroe County Fairgrounds beginning at 9am. The race will be timed by Miles of Smiles Timing Services.

Paper registrations are available at the Extension Office and can be picked up during normal business hours (Monday-Friday, 8am-4:30pm). You can also register online with the following link:
