Every spring, just in time for Mother’s Day weekend, BerryFest returns as one of Northern California’s most beloved family traditions, and this year the festival is bigger, livelier, and more thoughtfully designed for families than ever before. What began as a celebration of strawberries has grown into a full-scale community experience, blending classic fair fun with modern entertainment, local flavor, and plenty of moments that feel tailor-made for moms and kids alike.
Guests can expect the return of longtime favorites that have helped define BerryFest over the years. The Classic Car Show once again lines the grounds with gleaming nostalgia, while Arts and Crafts shopping and a bustling Farmers Market highlight local makers and strawberry farms. More than 50 food vendors offer everything from fair favorites to creative strawberry treats, and the Kids Carnival brings rides, games, and energy throughout the day. Live bands and comedians perform across multiple stages, including the Community Stage and Strawberry Stage, while the Little Miss Strawberry Pageant adds a sweet, time-honored tradition. Families can wander through the Classic Fire Truck Show, enjoy pony rides and a petting zoo, cheer on slot car racing, snap photos in the Selfie Village, or pause for cooking demonstrations and strolling entertainment that pop up throughout the grounds. For moms needing a breather, the Mom’s Retreat offers a calm, comfortable space designed just for them.
New this year, BerryFest expands in exciting ways. The Berry Jam Monster Truck Show roars into the Arena, delivering high-energy excitement for the whole family. Inside the Expo Building, Amazing Animal World brings an up-close educational experience, while Waite Hall introduces indoor craft shopping, perfect for browsing away from the sun. Home Arts Hall debuts Marionette Shows to go along with the puppet shows, adding a touch of classic storytelling, and comedy shows now fill the space between band sets on the Strawberry Stage for nonstop entertainment. A new strolling feature, the Raspberry Parade, weaves through the festival grounds, creating surprise moments of color and fun. BerryFest also introduces the Mom of the Year Award, honoring a local mom who makes a difference in her family and community, along with a Strawberry Pancake Breakfast that offers a delicious way to start the day together.
With something happening in every corner, BerryFest continues to strike a rare balance, big enough to feel exciting, yet personal enough to feel welcoming. It’s a place where friends and fam can create memories that last well beyond the weekend. Held annually on Mother’s Day weekend, BerryFest remains a celebration not just of strawberries, but of community, tradition, and the simple joy of being together.
