🦈🦦We’ve been in contact with the wedding party on-site and have learned that there was a miscommunication regarding event scheduling and coordination. Both parties, us AND them, were unaware of the other's plans, and it appears the wedding was arranged further in advance than we initially understood.

💜 Thankfully, the wedding party has shared that they’re having a good time with us so far, and we appreciate their understanding as we are navigating this situation in real time.

With that in mind, we ask everyone to please be respectful of the wedding party and their guests. This is a VERY special occasion for them, and we want everyone sharing the venue to have a positive experience.

Please do not photobomb, interrupt, and or insert yourself into their photos or activities. Be mindful of their space, privacy, and time at the hotel. Let them enjoy their celebration without disruption.

‼️Regarding parties and noise‼️

Our convention attendees are allowed to host parties, and we actually now have communication from the hotel .

We are just asking to please be mindful of your volume. Please be respectful of neighboring rooms and remember that this round not everyone in the hotel is attending the convention, some live at the Condos full time.

Con ops staff will be making rounds throughout the hotel to help address concerns and mitigate noise issues before they escalate to the hotel sending people. Ops will be keeping records of everything best they can.

So Next Year, we are working on party-floor accommodations to help prevent these conflicts and create a better experience for everyone!

Working with the hotel on this for next year means you get the parties you want! Teamwork makes the dream work, but we gotta make it through this round to make the next one wild! 💜

If any attendee encounters any issues involving other hotel guests, please contact Con ops or hotel staff rather than confronting anyone directly. We will work with the appropriate parties to address concerns as they arise.

Thank you for working with us, Thank you for your understanding and consideration. Thank you for your patience with everyone sharing the venue. We want our attendees, the wedding party, and all hotel guests to enjoy their time here, and we appreciate everyone doing their part to make that possible. You guys rock 🥰

‼️ new information updated in new post‼️

‼️ Hey y'all - just to let you know the con was not shutting parties down, unfortunately there are 2 weddings going on at the same time this weekend and their guests seem to be not be versed in furry culture.

We spent a lot of time talking with security and even had the president of the hotel come down to try to mitigate. Parties Are Allowed - you can still have your parties. We unfortunately have to be conscious about the normies guests in the hotels. We are going to have our people roaming to try to check on folks who may be on the louder side before the cops get called. We normally have our people come knock before the hotel gets involved but they are trying to push their protocols this round so please be patient.

The short short version is we were supposed to have the entire hotel venue, the reason why the convention book is different from the map online is because of some back-end planning that the hotel didn't let us know until a few weeks before the actual convention that we didn't get all of the rooms. The wedding is in the basement where registration was supposed to be.

So at least want to thank everybody who is being very patient with us.

We are planning on being at this hotel again next year for the 10-year of AQF. And we will be contracting to have the convention space in full.

Another thing that has been brought to my attention, if any of the wedding guests bug any of the attendees, please do not interact. Please just go ahead and contact ConOps or the hotel. If there are any negative interactions by any of the hotel or condo rooms, please get those room numbers and either give them to the hotel or ConOps.
