No Throwback Thursday movie at the Iowa this week, October 8.
The Lion, Witch, and Wardrobe - Winterset Stage's family fall production is well underway and is making magic with rehearsals for their upcoming production October 22 - 25.
Our next Throwback feature will be October 29, Ghostbusters.

Don't miss The Monuments Men, playing tonight October 1 at the Iowa theater. The movie starts at 7 and popcorn is half off.
The film dramatizes a true WWII story featuring the efforts of Winterset's own, George Stout.
Stout, an art conservator, helped brainstorm and lead a WWII group of approximately 345 members, who protected historic buildings from Allied bombing, repaired damaged monuments, and hunted down millions of pieces of art stolen by the N**i regime.
They located massive hidden caches of stolen masterpieces, gold, and cultural treasures and successfully found and returned over 5 million cultural items to their rightful owners and countries of origin.
This film is sponsored by the Madison County Foundation for Community Arts.

This special showing Sunday, September 27 at 5:30 is part of The Iowa Prairie Documentary Project.
"Iowa: and the Broken Circle" is a 90 minute documentary film made by Iowa City local, Charlie Morris.
This movie explores the story of the land we call Iowa. It tackles tough questions like why don't we swim in the water any more? and why are so many of us are getting cancer?
It spotlights the beauty of Iowa, land restoration. and how easily we could be doing the right thing.
Come for the movie and some thought provoking ideas and meet the film maker, Charlie Morris.
Tickets are available on line or at the door.

No Other Choice is a 2025 South Korean black comedy thriller about a desperate paper industry expert who decides to kill off his competition to be assured of the job he seeks to maintain his families way of life.
