Friday:
Our weekend of relaxing indulgence and self-renewal begins with the arrival of all of you!
Please plan on arriving between 2:00 pm and 4:00 pm. Come in, kick off your shoes, grab a drink and prepare to charge those batteries and renew yourself. We’ll kick off the weekend with an all levels yoga session to loosen up and open your mind and body. Yoga will be taught by our amazing instructor Aela.

Welcome and opening yoga sequence beginning at 5:00 pm
5:15 pm to 6:00 pm: yoga with Aela

6:30 pm Dinner
After yoga, feeling relaxed, a whole lot less stressed and refreshed for your fantastic weekend, we will serve you dinner. Dinner will be a succulent Portuguese Stew filled with sweet potatoes, sausage and hearty meatballs with kale. This is a fantastically healthy, yet hearty delicious stew that will temp you for seconds and thirds.
We will also be offering a vegan/vegetarian option of Arabic lentil soup with lemon. This may sound plain Jane but it is anything but. The mouthwatering flavor explodes across your taste buds and replenishes your body with wonderful goodness to keep you fueled for the weekend. Both meals will have delicious Naan bread and a splendid desert of assorted cookies and fresh fruit.

At 8:00 pm, our hostess Agi will facilitate a group discussion to explore the group intentions for the weekend and help to establish achievable goals. After that, we will break into smaller groups and work towards establishing your individual goals and how best to go about reaching them. After our group discussions we’ll break for the night to resume the next morning charged and ready to go.

Saturday:

7:30 am to 8:20 am Yoga session 1:
In this Yoga session, we will focus on a hip opening sequence and work on release of the psoas muscle. This muscle is often called the muscle of the soul and many believe it is a trigger for fear and anxiety.

9:00 am: Breakfast buffet:
If you thought Friday night’s dinner was delicious, you will be pleasantly surprised to experience a new variety of delights to not only feed your body but to feed your soul with even more culinary delights. Our breakfast will feature Chakchouka (also called Shakshouka) which is a Tunisian and Israeli dish of succulent tomatoes, onions, pepper, spices, and eggs. A variety of breads, homemade jams, Greek yogurt with granola, fresh fruit, cheese and cold deli cuts round out this hearty yet scrumptious breakfast.

After breakfast we will all pack a sandwich/lunch for our next adventure, the hike. Now that we have treated our bodies with delicious and healthy food it is time to treat our lungs with the fresh mountain air and breath taking scenery of the Blue Ridge Mountains.

10:00 am we will depart for our hike (intermediate level)

Lunch:
Lunch will be an outside picnic where we will find the perfect location during our guided hike. Our picnic lunch will be sure to impress as you dine in some of the most beautiful scenery the Blue Ridge Mountains has to offer. We will take advantage of the clean, crisp mountain air as you will be led through a breathing exercise before heading back to our mountain resort home.

We will arrive back at the house at approximately 2:00 pm where you can simply enjoy some time alone or relax those muscles in the luxury balcony hot tub overlooking the grandeur of the mountains.

From 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm we invite you to join us in a musical exploration/interpretation workshop where we will learn to tap into the full potential of our hips. You will learn basic belly dance moves that are easy, fun to learn and can be applied to your favorite music. We invite you to bring a song that speaks to you personally. No worries though, we will not judge and we will not criticize. Whether you are a graceful dancer or not, we will enjoy each other’s company as we spend time with each other during this part of our program. You decide how much you want to do or how little. You are beautiful and we will teach you tools to express this beauty through movement.

Dinner: welcome to “1,001 nights”
Saturday night’s dinner will begin at 7:00 pm and will be buffet style with something for everybody. It will feature humus and raw veggies as well as marinated vegetables (anti-pasti). You are in for a real treat as Aela will have prepared her renowned Persian dish “Fesenjan”. This is a savory chicken cooked in a pomegranate and walnut sauce served with green beans and carrots stewed in a curried tomato sauce. A vegan/vegetarian version will also be available. This will be served over a bed of “jeweled rice” with Safran, dried fruit and nuts (vegan/vegetarian).
Baklava and assorted Middle Eastern treats should address the sweet tooth in all of us.

You decide if you want a private belly dance performance by your instructor Aela. This will be followed by an open dance floor for everyone to cut loose and enjoy the evening. Our “1,001 Nights” will officially end at 9:00 pm but you may enjoy the rest of the evening however you like. This includes taking the opportunity to meet on the deck for a final meditation under the star lit night sky.

Sunday:
Breakfast will be served at 8:oo am to include bacon and cheese egg cups, assorted breads, jams, vegetarian toppings and fruit.

9:00 am to 11:00 am will be time set aside for you to choose what we do. We will offer coaching, dancing, yoga, filling up on leftovers, hiking, or really whatever your heart desires. We can split into 2 groups and enjoy the last bit of this phenomenal weekend.

At 12:00 we will say goodbye as we set off for our departure. Aela will have prepared some cakes and cookies to treat yourself after your yoga class, meditation or hike. Apples, bananas and plenty of water will be offered as well.

Come spend some time exploring yourself in various activities like hiking, yoga on the deck, guided meditation and in open communication and sharing with fellow women in a relaxed, fun atmosphere! The theme is "letting go" and Aela ( RYT, belly dance instructor ) and Agi ( LMT, CHC ) have some surprise exercises for you in store.
We will stay in a house with several bedrooms, a hot tub and big common area right by the Appalachian trail, close to wineries and Wintergreens amenities.
You might just chill and enjoy the delicious food and laugh or you might find a new way to look at your life.
