A statement from Tracy Myers and Brian Hawks, co-owners of :

We owe you the story behind the challenge you’re about to watch.

On Saturday, October 17th, after their match at AML Wrestling, our tag team champions grabbed the microphone. They said they needed to beat the one team they’ve never beaten: FTR.

So they challenged FTR to a match at the WrestleCade SuperShow.

Those comments weren’t part of the planned show. We made the decision to cut them from the original broadcast because, as much as we wanted that match, we honestly didn’t think we could make it happen.

But we reached out anyway.

And yes, we offered to “throw lots of money” at FTR. Their words, not ours. We were hopeful, but we also knew it was a long shot.

Then FTR sent us the video we shared yesterday.

They accepted.

They also asked us to release the original challenge. So here it is—the part you haven’t seen, and the moment that started all of this.

Now we can make it official: FTR will challenge for the World Tag Team Titles at the WrestleCade SuperShow on Saturday, November 28, at the Benton Convention Center, streaming live on MyAEW.com.

We didn’t know if we could make this match happen when those microphones were picked up.

Now we get to find out what happens when the bell rings.
