It has been very difficult to think about making this statement. I never imagined that I would be writing under these circumstances here💔. As most of you know, the Minnesota Equestrian Center experienced a devastating fire yesterday. I am truly heartbroken, as are our employees and our countless amazing family, friends and participants. As hard as this is, today we wake up grateful that every person is safe.
There has not been much time to process, and I am doing my best to keep up with everything that is ongoing. My apologies to anyone that I have not been able to respond to yet. The messages and phone calls have been absolutely incredible, your words and support do not go unnoticed.
Thank you to the almost 100 brave men and women that gave all of their hearts, time and energy to protect and save the MEC😓 you are truly all heroes that never give up caring about the needs of others❤️. Police, fire, excavators, & utilities… there are no words, but, Thank You and we appreciate you🙏🏼
The MEC has lost the entire north barn, as well as the connecting link to the arena. Thanks to the incredible response from all of these rescue teams, the arena stands with relatively minor damage.
I will continue to update on our site as more information is available to offer. Thank you to everyone who has shared their kind words and prayers. I know that so many of you feel the MEC is your special place.. I appreciate each and everyone of you🩷
