🔥 Big Muddy is Moving and Celebrating 10 Years! 🔥

Mark your calendars! Big Muddy is set for August 15th from 11AM–7PM, and we’ve got an exciting update to share!

A big change comes with the 10th anniversary of Big Muddy. We’re moving from Levee Park to 3rd Street (between Main and Franklin) in Downtown Winona.

This move makes it easier than ever to explore local shops, grab a bite at our top notch downtown restaurants, stop in at your favorite pub, and be part of the Big Muddy action.

Don’t worry—Big Muddy will still feature all your favorites:
🍖 Rib-eating contest
🎶 Live music
🍻 Tastings
🛍 Artisan market
👨‍👩‍👧 Kids area
🌽 Co****le Tournament

By bringing the event to 3rd Street, we’re creating even more opportunities for the community to connect with local businesses in Downtown Winona, while helping sustain this community loved event for hopfully another 10 years!

🔥 A HUGE thank you to everyone who came out to cheer on the contestants of not one, but TWO rib-eating contests this weekend! Thank you to Hy-Vee winona for donating the ribs and making this event possible!🔥

👮‍♂️🚒 Battle of the Badges – The Goodview Fire Department, Goodview Police Department, and Winona Fire Department went head-to-head for the championship title. Congratulations to the Winona Fire Department for defending their crown and taking home their third straight title—chowing down an incredible 34 ribs in 7 minutes! (Goodview FD and Goodview PD each put down 26!) 🏆

👏 Special shoutout to Andy Pham from Goodview FD for snagging the title of Most Sauced!

💪 NEW this year: the Battle of the Athletes! The competition was fierce between Winona Winhawk Football, Cotter Football, and WSU Warrior Men’s Basketball. In a nail-biter finish, the WSU Men’s Basketball team edged out Cotter Football with 25 ribs to 24 to claim the first-ever athlete title! (Winhawk Football finished with 10.)

🎉 And let’s hear it for Xavier from Cotter Football—our athlete division Most Sauced champion!

What an incredible day of fun, friendly competition, and LOTS of ribs. Thanks again to all our participants, fans, and volunteers who made it a finger-lickin’ good time! 🍖🔥
