September 11, 2001 changed our country, our communities, and an entire generation.

For our September First Friday at the Marquee, we’re setting aside an evening to remember those who were lost, honor those who answered the call, and reflect on the courage and service that followed.

Please join us for An Evening of Remembrance and Tribute.

The Fox Theatre’s auditorium ceiling was originally painted a deep shade called “cobra green.”

When the house lights dimmed, the old lighting was said to glisten like stars overhead, turning the theater ceiling into part of the show before the movie even began.

Imagine sitting there in 1950, the room going quiet, the lights fading, and that dark green ceiling sparkling above a full house.

The Fox wasn’t just a place to watch a movie. It was built to make the whole night feel special.

A little piece of Winfield history, still shining through the story of the Marquee. ✨
