The Isle of Wight County Fair recently earned state and international honors, while its fair queens collected cash prizes and scholarships at the Virginia Association of Fairs conference.

🏆✨ Award-Winning Season for the Isle of Wight County Fair! ✨🏆

We’re proud to share some exciting news from a very successful convention season! The Isle of Wight County Fair represented our community at both the International Association of Fairs & Expos (IAFE) Convention in Denver (November 29-December 4) and the Virginia Association of Fairs (VAF) Conference in Williamsburg (January 8-11) and came home with top honors.

IAFE Convention Highlights:
🥈 2nd Place – Agriculture Individual Photo (Ag Education)

VAF Conference Awards
🥇 1st Place – Fair Scrapbook, Social Media Campaign
🥈 2nd Place – Program, Newspaper Ad, Poster, Commercial/Streaming
🥉 3rd Place – Radio

Youth Leadership Scholarship Contest:
Keegan Shannon (Teen Miss IOW 2022, FFA, fair volunteer, and parks and recreation employee) earned 2nd place in the VAF Youth Leadership Contest and a $2,000 scholarship, bringing her grand total of scholarships awarded by the VAF to over $6,000 since 2023.

McKinlee Bracy, 2025 Jr. Miss IOW County Fair, placed 2nd in the Youth Ag It Up Poster Contest and received a cash prize.

Miss Virginia Association of Fairs Pageant👑
Liz Fellinger, 2025 Miss Isle of Wight County Fair, was named a Top 3 finalist for the Jensen Hoover Impact Scholarship Award, finished 2nd Runner-Up out of 31 contestants from across the commonwealth, and received a $2,000 scholarship.

These accomplishments are a true testament to the dedication of our volunteers, youth, pageant representatives, and fair family. Thank you to everyone who helps make the Isle of Wight County Fair award-winning at the state and international level!
