Hi All,
The Airline has finally given us a group price and I can now accept deposits for the March 2024 Cairn University Israel Study Tour. The updated itinerary is attached complete with hotels and flight data.
As you are all aware, this is an annual venture on my part under Cairn’s umbrella. It is a labor of love. Unlike Tour companies that expect to make a profit, I only charge what it actually costs. The other tours I have seen that include all that we do are normally $800 to $1000 more expensive.
The airline, El Al, will only hold their price quote until the end of May. I need to sign a contract and give them a deposit to hold the seats before the end of the month. Banking arrangements and finances run through Cairn always take a few days so we need to be locked in by the 25th - two weeks from today.
The initial deposit is $6000 to hold the airline reservations - so I need as many of you who are committed to send your $500 deposit to me as soon as possible.
Send a check - made out to Cairn University, write in the memo section Israel Study tour 2024, and send them to:
Dr. Edgar B. Hardesty
1744 Prayer Mission Road
Windsor, PA 17366
The University is handling all the finances but I must assign proper account information to all the deposits before your check is submitted to Cairn - cumbersome, but necessary.
Of course, if it becomes necessary your deposit is refundable - minus a $150 non-refundable reservation fee charged by the airline.
If you have not seen the video from last year’s Tour feel free to access this link on YouTube. One of our participants, Ellen Marie, has put this together and has done an excellent job of it.

Hi Everyone,
Just a few moments ago I received word that Cairn University has agreed to be our Host for the March 2024 Israel Study Tour. I am most grateful for their oversight and willingness to be our “parent” as they have so many times before.
Contact me for a copy of the bare bones itinerary for the trip. It does not include prices, hotels, or airlines. As soon as I heard from Cairn, I sent the itinerary information to my arrangers in Israel to lock in the sites and venues. I should be hearing back from them early next week with initial “in-country costs” including our guide, driver, hotels, venues, tips, portage, etc. The airlines will be next with arrangements out of Newark Liberty International (EWR) to Tel Aviv, Ben Gurion International (TLV) in Israel.
The process takes some time to complete and as soon as I have final figures in hand, I will pass them on to you.
PLEASE BE AWARE of the pricing structure. For the past 25 years I have only charged participants what it truly costs. This is not a money-making venture for either me or Cairn University. Therefore, you will not see a large marketing program or advertising campaign. Please be patient as we move forward. I will do my utmost to keep you informed in a timely manner.
What I do need at present is a confirming email from you stating whether you are still interested and intending to join us. The true interest level is very important in projecting accurate numbers for venues and reservations. Obviously, this is not a final commitment on your part and no deposit is required at this time.
I am greatly encouraged by the response I have seen so far and trust it will continue to build as you spread the word to friends and neighbors. Word of mouth is our major venue for advertising. I will be posting updates on my Facebook sites under the following names: “Edgar B. Hardesty”; and “Edgar Hardesty Israel Tours.”
I am looking forward to hearing from each of you at [email protected].
Blessings,
Edgar

To all our facebook friends. Since my retirement from Cairn University many have been asking if I will continue to do study tours to Israel. After our last trip in May of 2022, and the response to the video posted by one of our participants - see "Two Weeks in Israel" on You Tube - I have been encouraged to mount another tour on my own. I have contacted our friends and business associates in Israel that I have worked with over the last 29 years and they have also encouraged me to continue.
All that is to say we are in the early stages of planning a tour for mid March of 2024.
The itinerary will remain the same. I do not yet have final prices for the airlines or hotels. If you are truly interested and wish to remain in contact please email me at [email protected]. I need to know the true level of interest before I lock in a block of reservations for sites and Hotels in Israel. Looking forward to hearing from you.
Shalom b'Yeshua,
Edgar
