As we continue to re-work how Kentucky River Field School serves its educational mission at the Old Rock Barn this is our latest concept: Facilitate instructors to share educational experiences using the space(s). We have the Xola booking platform embedded in the Old Rock Barn website to allow instructors to have their own descriptive page and shareable links for direct bookings. Besides the Xola booking charge, the rest of class/experience payments go to instructor for time and materials. A hub with great diversity of interesting, quality experiences could emerge. This is KRFS as Old Rock Barn. Unfortunately the collaboration w GRC never took flight (previous post). We do our best and follow cues until something works or the cues run out. Bailey and Shaun Carter are opening Local Roots KY cafe in partnership with KRFS at the Old Rock Barn next Friday! It will be open regularly 11a-3p Thurs-Mon. They offer catering and private events too. KRFS also hosts events and classes. Come visit for lunch and supper Local Roots/KRFS.
