Lillys Pad will be at More Tales, Wilmore Storytelling Festival this year! Check out the menu below!

We will be serving our Lemonades, Sodas and Full menu with some new items...

We now have the Fried Bologna and Egg sandwich available at all times; it has become a quick favorite! 😋

New items are:
1. Mac n Cheese Brisket Bread Bowl
2. Mac n Cheese Buffalo Chicken Ranch Bread Bowl
3. Mac n Cheese Philly Cheesesteak Bread Bowl
4. Mac n Cheese BBQ Chicken Bread Bowl
5. Meatball Sub or as a Bread Bowl

We will also have Appalachian desserts...😋
One has an Apple profile while the other has a Blackberry Lemon profile.

We will Not sell water but will direct attendees to the watering towers.

Rattlesnake Bite 🐍
Our "lie" is that the "concoction" was found buried in a cave that had over 300 Diamondback rattle snacks. It will have a warning label attached.

We shared this story last year, and since we LOVE stories, we just had to share it again. It even helps that this story is about one of our sponsors!

We are delighted to partner with Highbridge Spring Water again this year. Highbridge has been a faithful supporter for many years, and we are grateful for their shared passion of stories.

The founder of Highbridge Spring water was W.R. “Bill” Griffin. He began operations in Wilmore in the early 1980’s. He was told the quarry wouldn’t be much good as a storage company unless he figured out some way of getting rid of that water in the back. Well, it took him a while to figure it out, but we think he came up with a pretty good idea – and we hope you agree.

In 1982 when Highbridge was just getting started it was a family operation. The “girls and Dad” would fill the gallon bottles – back then it was only gallon bottles, nothing else – then load the pickup truck. Daughters Linda and Mary would leave the quarry in High Bridge with the instructions from their Dad, “Don’t come back until you’ve sold all that water.”

It's a great story, so of course we had to share!

"Josh Goforth must have been born musical—he was already playing piano in church at the age of four— but it was an experience he had in the sixth grade that really lit the fuse of his precocious musical career. A performance at Goforth's middle school by Sheila Kay Adams caused him to start thinking about the musical heritage and stories of his native Madison County, NC. Josh was able to listen and learn from local masters like Gordon and Arvil Freeman and Jerry Adams. Goforth is a highly accomplished storyteller and acoustic musician playing close to 20 different instruments. After high school he went to East Tennessee State University to study music education with a Euphonium concentration, and to be a part of ETSU's famous Bluegrass and Country Music Program. In 2000, he played fiddle for the movie Songcatcher, both onscreen and on the soundtrack. He has toured extensively with a variety of ensembles, including the ETSU Bluegrass band, David Holt, Laura Boosinger, and with several bluegrass bands like Appalachian Trail, the Josh Goforth Trio, the Steep Canyon Rangers, Open Road and Carolina Road. He has performed in all 50 US states, all over Europe, Asia, and Australia. In 2000, 2003, and 2005, he was named Fiddler of the Festival at Fiddler's Grove and, after winning the third title, was designated "Master Fiddler" and retired from that competition. He has performed at the Grand Ole Opry, the Lincoln Center, as well as Carnegie Hall. In 2009 he was nominated for a Grammy for his album with David Holt entitled "Cutting Loose". He currently is on faculty at the Academy for the Arts in Asheville and performs all over the world."

We are thrilled that Kim Whitkamp is coming back to More Tales, Wilmore Storytelling!

Happy Birthday to our mother land! The Commonwealth of Kentucky officially became the 15th state to join the United States on June 1, 1792. She has aged like a fine w**e :)

We are busy planning the 9th annual More Tales, Wilmore Storytelling Festival! Stay tuned as we start announcing our incredible line up!
