ALTO/MEZZO STAFF SINGER OPENING beginning September at historic Trinity Episcopal Church in Wilmington, DE.

Compensation is $184 per week, plus additional compensation for special rehearsals, services, weddings and funerals. Trinity’s six paid singers are supplemented each Sunday by a highly skilled and dedicated corps of another 10 to 14 volunteer singers for a versatile ensemble of 16 to 20 singers. The 2026/2027 season runs from September 10 to May 23. Thursday evening rehearsals are at 7:00 pm and Sunday morning call is at 9:00 am for one Sunday worship service. Applicants MUST be available to sing all Christmas Eve and Easter Sunday services to apply. Trinity is easily accessible from I-95, located at the top of the ramp of Exit 7.

Staff Singers, who serve as both soloists and section leaders, must be excellent sight-readers and adept and comfortable singing in a wide variety of musical genres and styles in a fast-paced environment. Singers must also be punctual, reliable and willing to work in and foster a spirit of collegiality and collaboration. Our choir is extremely hard-working, dedicated and focused, but also loves to create great music while having lots of fun and enjoying our time together.

Trinity’s choir and congregation are a diverse, welcoming, inclusive, loving and compassionate group of individuals. Trinity Parish, which was founded in 1698, has a long history of musical excellence and two beautiful and historic sanctuaries that are home to two Austin pipe organs (a three-manual and a two-manual), five pianos (including a nine-foot Steinway in the main sanctuary), as well a large set of handbells and tower bells.
