Historic Brooklyn Arts Center features a stunning Sanctuary, private Courtyard, Annex, and Manse House—perfect for weddings, galas, fundraisers, concerts, reunions, corporate events, celebrations, and unforgettable gatherings of all kinds. We host weddings, concerts, fundraisers, art shows, upscale vintage flea markets, and other community-driven events. There is abundant free parking in our neighborhood on North 4th Street or you can park in Historic Downtown Wilmington, two minutes away, and take the free trolley, which stops on North 4th Street in front of the church. We offer state-of-the-art house sound and lighting systems and the finest event support service in the Southeast. We recently made a significant investment in upgrading the lighting infrastructure inside our historic church building at the Brooklyn Arts Center, and the possibilities are truly endless!

From spotlighting special moments and architectural features to transforming our drapes with vibrant colors, our new lighting system allows us to create just about any atmosphere imaginable.

Looking for a romantic, elegant wedding reception? We’ve got you covered. Want to transform the room into an incredible nightclub or high-energy concert experience while your band or DJ performs? We can do that, too! We can even bring out the classic mirror ball for a little extra magic.

🦪 SALTWATER STORIES | OUT TO SEA NC FEST

Join us at the Brooklyn Arts Center on Sunday, November 8th at 3:30 PM for an afternoon celebrating the food, history, and stories that have shaped North Carolina’s coast.

Dinner with two-time James Beard nominee Chef Keith Rhodes of Catch Restaurant, highlighting the impact of African American foodways on our coastal communities.

We’ll explore the history of the Nixon family, who opened the first oyster shucking plant in New Hanover County, along with a cooking demonstration from John Mallette of Southern Breeze Seafood in Jacksonville, NC.

Come experience an afternoon of incredible food, coastal history, and community legacy — and, of course, plenty of oysters! 🦪
