We know you’ve been waiting… and yes—we definitely didn’t forget about the awards. 😅 After taking a moment to recover from an incredible UpTilt Film Festival, we’re excited to officially announce this year’s winners:

🏆 Best Animation, Dance, or Musical — Your Own Flavor
🏆 Best Narrative — After What Happened at the Library
🏆 Best Documentary — Island Willing
🏆 Best Horror/Suspense/Thriller — Minus 18 Degrees Celsius

And this is your chance to watc@dragonflyshortfilm DRAGONFLY, written & directed by , is now available to watch on The animated short film screened at Uptilt in 2024 and follows a young girl who learns about her mother's survival of the Tokyo Firebombing of March 9-10, 1945, through her brother's eyes.

This year, we were blown away by the incredible community of filmmakers that showed up—both from our local area and far beyond. What started as a room full of strangers quickly turned into something so much bigger, a community!

By the end, they weren’t strangers—they were friends, collaborators, and each other’s biggest cheerleaders 💛
