Palos Meltdown Mountain Bike Festival and Race The Palos Meltdown is Chicagoland’s premier mountain bike event. The race is held annually in the FPCC's Palos Trail System in Willow Springs, IL.

The 2024 Palos Meltdown is scheduled for August 25,2024. 2022 Race Weekend: August 6-7, 2022

The Palos Meltdown is Chicagoland’s premier mountain bike event. With racing for all ages and abilities this event draws riders from all over the region. In it's ninth consecutive year, the Meltdown is held as a fundraiser for CAMBr to help build and maintain mountain bike trails in Chicagoland. Registration will open in May 2022. Stay tuned for more details.

Reminder that we'll be at MLE tomorrow morning 10-11 a.m. for race shirt pick up. If you ordered a shirt but didn't get it on race weekend, please stop by. We do NOT have extra shirts to sell.

For anyone who ordered a shirt but didn't pick it up, we'll be at the Maple Lake East MTB Staging Area this coming Saturday (8/13) from 10-11 a.m. You'll need to bring some form of ID. Thanks

NOVICE RACERS- Novice racers will be riding our “rain” route. You will now ride from Pyschopath to Pipeline through the grass at the Wolf Road parking lot and descend down Gravity Cavity to resume the race route. Course marshalls are in place to direct you to the proper course. Ride safe and have fun!
