Imagine it: You choose to enlist a friend or three, show up to The Viridian Bookshop on October 24, and you're handed an Underground access credential (with an occupation) and apocalypse rations. You sit, unsure, and become more unsure as details of an apocalypse are laid out for you.

Then you're asked to answer among friends and book lovers (if you want to--but a prize awaits)...

What food would you miss MOST if the world went to s**t?
Which person are you taking underground if the apocalypse hits and you've got minutes to decide?
What completely "ordinary" skill do YOU possess that would become extra helpful if the world ended?

It's spooky season. Why not spend it imagining the end of the world from the safe space of a bookstore AND with $10 store credit to spend on whatever you want?

When we told you this won't be a book signing, we meant it. The event is coming together, and you'll want to be there, promise. (And if I may say so, I've spoken in my full-time worker life at global conferences, so I know a thing or two about delivering an experience. Also, YES, I will sign your copies if you have or buy them. But the signing is absolutely not the point. The camaraderie is.)

Seats are limited, and they are selling. Time to share this post with the person you know who loves The Walking Dead, World War Z, and Paradise, and get those tickets bought. $29 buys you treats and that store credit and MOST importantly three hours that are well planned and interactive.

See you soon. https://viridianbookshop.com/event/michelle-park-lazette-author-event/

I bonded!!!

Share which dragon you bonded to! I absolutely loved that Rebecca Yarros had this fun nugget on her website.

I feel I'm not that surprised I bonded to a green even though I was kind of hoping for a red 🤭🫣 May or may not be because of Liam 😭

Update:
I am so shocked by all the reds and oranges that people bonded! That's incredible! So far only one other green and zero browns, blues, or blacks (not surprised about blues and blacks though).
