Following Max Engle’s passing in 2023, our family witnessed an ou

tpouring of love & support from this community. We wanted to create a space where others could feel that same connection, a space where music becomes medicine, and memories fuel us. ​With a lineup rooted in folk, Americana, outlaw country, bluegrass, and blues — some of Max’s favorite sounds — The Sound That Stays is about storytelling, connection, and honoring what matters.​

This Saturday, the UMC will be performing at the first-ever The Sound That Stays Music Festival at Antlers On The Water in Williamsport, PA!! Our main stage set will be a preview of our upcoming 25th Anniversary Celebration concerts, including hits from The Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin, Billy Joel, Elton John, and Queen!
There will also be UMC students performing solo and duo sets on the indoor stage!

We are saddened to hear about the passing of 14-year-old Vhito DeCapria and are holding his family in our hearts. When we lost Max, our own family experienced first hand the strength, compassion, and love this community brings in times of hardship.

Our festival was created to honor loved ones lost too soon and to support the families who carry their memory forward.

In that same spirit, we will be directing a portion of this weekend’s proceeds to support Vhito’s family, alongside our ongoing support of the Maxwell Engle Memorial Organization. 🧡
