The Williamsport, MD Community Band is proud to host the 2022 Maryland Community Band Festival. This year's event will be held at the historic Springfield Barn in Williamsport, MD. Mark your calendars for June 12, 2022, to hear many community bands from the state of Maryland. ARCHIVED INFORMATION BELOW:

We are proud to report that the Maryland Community Band Festival, to be held at Byron Memorial

Park in Williamsport, Maryland on June 8, 2014, is full. We have nine participating bands in the event. The festival will begin at 11:00 am and conclude with Williamsport’s performance at 9:00 PM. Concerts will begin on the hour and should be 45 minutes in length. This allows enough set up time for the next group. Please look for any festival updates, needs, or schedules to be sent via email in the spring. Information can also be found on this Facebook group page. Future correspondence will come from Mrs. Mitchell, our Williamsport Community Band web page and Maryland Community Band Festival correspondence coordinator. Please look for emails coming from [email protected] OR [email protected]. Since many of your band members may have not traveled to our little town of Williamsport, in Western Maryland, before the event, the Town will be offering “a day of more than just the playing of a concert”. Following are some of activities available, close to the festival event, which you and the member’s families might want to consider. The Williamsport L. Beard Memorial Pool will be open the day of the festival, https://www.facebook.com/LBeardMillerMemorialPool, there are playgrounds and picnic areas available http://www.williamsportmd.gov/byron_park.html, and tours of Historic Williamsport (at no charge) for members and their families will be available http://www.williamsportmd.gov. The first band performs at 11:00 am and the last band performs at 5:00 PM. Each band will perform for 45 minutes. Refreshments will be sold by the Williamsport High School Band Boosters. Come and spend some time in the beautiful and acoustically sound Springfield Barn in Williamsport, MD.
