Make plans now to come to one of our NEW EVENTS we have planned this year. And you can catch us at the Carmel Farmers Market beginning July 11th. We are a seasonal flower farm growing over 80 different varieties of flowers available for fresh cut use. Flowers are local grown and are available from the last week of March clear until the last of October. Located on a 125 acre working farm, our family also grows and sells corn, soybeans and a few chickens for our own egg consumption. Our beautiful barn on the property adjoins the flower garden and its beauty equals that of the flowers. The Barn at Helm is a rustic and unique structure that showcases its original thick wooden beams and old farm character. It is the oldest barn on the property with several handwritten signatures dating back to 1900. The original wooden floor measures 280 square feet and the main Floor is 1300 square feet. We've got it dolled up for our own personal use complete with draped ceiling lights. Folks enjoy strolling through the flower farm when we have gatherings here. The Barn at Helm can be your complete stop for all your flower needs. Besides selling at the local farmers market, we do take special orders, and even offer local delivery. We specialize in the "Flower Bar" concept where we bring the flowers to you for your bridal or baby shower or other special gathering. This unique experience allows everyone to become the floral designer and all leave with their own beautiful masterpiece. We offer a full service floral needs for weddings even offering brides a "pick your own" option if they prefer. We can do some out of season events with advanced notice as well. SATURDAY SEPTMEBER 19TH FROM 4PM - DARK.

There is a big storm rolling through tomorrow afteroon but it looks like it might be through around 4ish. If not we will just delay a bit and open as soon as the storms stop.

Its $5 per person to enter and $20 to cut a vase of flowers. Same price as its been since we first opened to the public years ago.

Finally......can we just take a moment for this awesome pic! It was taken a few years ago by our friends Kevin & Natalie. I knew they were bringing the drone so I decided last minute to create a sunflower message to see from overhead. I think it suits me perfectly

Thank you so much for making our first ever Dinner in the Dahlias such a big success. It drizzled rain pretty much all day Saturday but about 30 minutes before the event started the skies cleared up and it was gorgeous all the rest of the day🙌

Special thanks to the amazing Jen Ferriell from Radford’s Meat Market & Deli East for the delicious catering. It was a treat to work with her as we planned the menu for the night. I can’t thank her & her staff enough. And we greatly appreciated them being a sponsor for the evening along with First Bank Richmond & Elstro Auto.

And a round of applause for our servers from Indy Beer Taps who clearly went above and beyond even helping us dry off tables & chairs and quickly getting things set up after the rain finally quit. Many hands make light work & they jumped right in!

And…Daniel…Amanda…your beautiful harmony created a great ambience for the evening 🎶

We are getting multiple requests to rearrange our schedules & workloads to be able to have the farm open on Saturday! We do have beautiful flowers & honestly yesterday was a horrible turnout with the rain. No attendance = no income. Blunt, but true.

If we did rearrange our schedules & open this Saturday we need to know if you would come? It takes quite a bit to be ready on our end….all that beauty doesn’t just magically appear although we like to make it look that way. Lol.

Our costs….which we haven’t raised since we started years ago….is $5 per person to enter. It’s additional $20 to cut a vase of flowers.

While we try hard to live with open hands & give back as much as possible we do have lots of expenses as well. Those admission fees & upick flower fees are how we pay for all the things…seeds, bulbs, plants, insurance, props, gas, netting, fertilizer, etc.

If we opened it would be this Saturday from 4pm - dark.
