Persistence Opened the Door. Opportunity Changed the Future.

When Ron began navigating his first major career transition, he knew the journey wouldn't be easy. Like many job seekers, he faced setbacks and rejections along the way.

Through Hosanna House, Inc.'s Pathways to Work program, Ron received the guidance, encouragement, and support he needed to keep moving forward. After securing a position with UPMC Member Services, a new opportunity unexpectedly emerged, leading him to accept a permanent Project Manager role with UPMC Corporate Facilities Engineering & Maintenance.

In Ron's words:

We took a lot of bites at the apple and went through many rejections before finally breaking ground, and for this, I am truly appreciative and grateful."

Big discoveries begin with small steps—and a seat in a fire truck! 🚒💛

Today, Hosanna House, Inc.'s Hope Academy students got a glimpse into the life of a firefighter during a visit from our local Wilkinsburg Fire Department 's Firefighters. Children climbed aboard the truck, some took a turn in the driver’s seat, and everyone enjoyed meeting the people who help keep our community safe.
