This is going to be a really fun event in support of our friends at Wilkes-Barre Township Police Department. If you've ever considered participating in a triathlon (and you should), this is a great way to get started with simple distances in a fun environment. The 2024 The Greater Pittston YMCA's Spin-A-Thon will be held this year on March 9th with another great group of instructors and start times available from 8am through 1pm! Proceeds from this event will assist with building support for families in need of scholarships for the YMCA's Toddler Program in their Early Learning Center. Thanks to everyone who continues to support the Hometown Heroes 5K, as organizers, participants, volunteers, and sponsors. Because of you, we were able to present our friends at Camp Freedom with $5000 in support of the their mission to help disabled Veterans and First-Responders. Pictured below are Shaun M. Daney from Benchmark Mortgage, Trooper Carl J. Puskar from the Pennsylvania State Police, Troop P, Office of Community Engagement, Bridget Slagan from the Camp Freedom team, and members of ; a project team from Leadership Northeast's Fall Class. will be working hard to raise funds to build new clay bird houses for Camp Freedom! Please keep an eye out for these guys and lend support if you're able!

A huge thank you to everyone who made this summer's Hometown Heroes 5K a great success! Being a part of this event is being a part of something incredibly special. When you come out and walk or run our course, help to organize the event or volunteer on race day or lend your dollars as a sponsor, you are truly making a difference in our community. Because of YOU, we're able to help the team at CASA of Luzerne County and their program bring a little joy to kids in our community this Holiday Season. Thank you so much. Our good friends at Camp Freedom are hosting their inaugural Camp Freedom Never Forget 9/11 Golf Tournament. The event honors the brave men and women who served on 9/11 and the months to follow. All proceeds will benefit Camp Freedom and their mission to provide healing outdoor adventures to disabled Veterans, First Responders, their family members, and Gold Star Families.
