Greg took home a Prairie Fire Race Series vest and an age-group award after finishing 2nd in the 60–64 age group! 👏

What if walking, biking, and rolling between communities was easier, safer, and more connected? That’s the focus of the WAMPO Strengthening Transportation Alternatives for the Region (STAR) Plan. This effort will improve regional active transportation by evaluating existing bicycle and pedestrian infrastructure, identifying opportunities to improve connectivity between communities, and updating a regional map.

Before the Prairie Fire Marathon, we checked in with a few runners to hear what they were looking forward to, the goals they were chasing and what the race meant to them.

Now, we’re looking back on those goals, expectations and experiences. 🏃

Every runner has a story, and we wanted to thank Maliq, Erica, Erin, Jaden and Fr. Seth for sharing theirs!

Sunrise DJ sets are probably still a bit too early for me, but Prairie Fire Marathon was a great reason to get out of bed well before the crack of dawn. Turning the energy all the way up to keep the runners going was a great time.
