In celebration of America's Semi-quincentennial, the Museum of North Texas History invites visitors to press “Start” on an unforgettable journey through the history of play. From timeless board game favorites to the birth of video games and a full free-play arcade experience, this interactive exhibition explores how games have brought Americans together for generations.
This summer, North Texans can discover the development of entertainment and our “pursuit of happiness,” from table top games to pixelated adventures at Game On: The Evolution of Gaming and Entertainment, an America 250 Exhibition. Guests of all ages can experience authentic, hands-on games spanning every era.
From June 4th to September 26th, in partnership with Maniac’s Mansion, visitors will enjoy playable classic consoles, retro arcade machines, vintage tabletop games, and displays designed to spark nostalgia, curiosity, and fun. Whether you grew up rolling dice or mastering joysticks, there’s something here for everyone to enjoy.
