Mutton Bustin is officially FULL for this year’s fair!

We’ve reached the maximum number of participants we can accommodate. A huge thank you to everyone who registered, we can’t wait to see our Mutton Busters in action!

If you missed out on registering this year, we hope you’ll still come out, cheer them on, and enjoy the show. It’s sure to be a fun one!

🐑 MUTTON BUSTIN' IS BACK AT THE WIBAUX COUNTY FAIR! 🐑

Think your little cowboy or cowgirl has what it takes to hang on? Sign them up for a rodeo crowd favorite!

📅 Entry Deadline: August 14, 2026

Contestant Requirements:
🐑 Must be at least 4 years old
⚖️ 55 lb. weight limit (for the welfare of the sheep)

Check-In:
📍 North Arena Gate
⏰ Prior to the 2nd Section Saddle Bronc event during the rodeo
📝 A signed Release Form must be turned in at or before check-in.

Required Attire:
- Gloves
- Long-sleeve shirt
- Long pants
- Sturdy boots or shoes
- Hockey helmets with a full cage are allowed.
- Helmets and protective vests may be shared between participants.
- No spurs or ropes.
- Helmets and vests will NOT be provided this year.

One parent or guardian may accompany their contestant into the arena and must follow instructions from volunteers and sheep wranglers.

🐑 After each ride, our Mutton Bustin' crew will help contestants safely off the sheep and out of their gear. Once everyone has ridden, participants will gather for a group photo, crowd recognition, and prize presentation!
