The Ice-Out Party is tonight Washington Square Bar & Grill 6:30-8:00pm. Amazing door prizes like the WBL Display Board from Mill City Hardwood and Forest Products. Join us for prizes, laughs, drinks, food and more while we toast to the roughly 30 people who guessed dates correctly. 1st 50 people to arrive get a free bottle of MN made sunscreen.
Thanks again to the nearly 40 local businesses that donated prizes to create an over $4,000.00 prize pool!

Bald Eagle is SO CLOSE! As excited as we are to call it out, we can't today. All lingering ice needs to be within 50 feet of shore to be able to call it out. Quite a bit deteriorated today. As you can see from the picture there was almost no wind at 7:30pm tonight. If there would have been significant wind this evening, that would have probably zapped it, but looks like it is supposed to be a calm night.

It's been windy, but not windy enough. This is a pic from 8:00 AM on 3/24. From Bald Eagle in the boat launch bay. This is solid ice... not mashed up broken pieces blown into a corner. I would estimate the distance from the corner of the bay to the ice edge to be 400-500 feet. FYI- the boat launch is open and free of ice.
Although it is not out, it is nice to open water. 😎
