🌟 Celebrating 33 years of love and adventure! While some folks indulge in candlelit dinners or luxury resorts, we decided to tackle 45 hot, dusty, and hilly miles in SE Ohio for Pelotonia Gravel Day. Because nothing says “romance” like gravel in your shoes and BBQ sauce on your face! 🍖😂 We re-fueled with Jackie O's Brewery IPA brew and raised money to end cancer—talk about multitasking!

Who needs fancy dinners when you can share a post-ride beer and laugh about all the fun memories we’re creating? Here’s to another 33 years of love, laughter, and unforgettable adventures, Mr. Blake! Together, we’re riding towards a world without cancer! ❤️🚴‍♂️

🚴‍♀️🌟 I met two incredible bike packers, Ashwini and Shubhi, at Java Central Cafe and Roaster today! Hailing from New Orleans, they learned about the Ohio to Erie Trail from Ohioans while exploring Big Cypress National Preserve last February. They started their journey in Cincinnati 3 days ago and are on track to reach Cleveland in 2 days to visit family. They’ve already tackled Westerville and central Ohio’s beautiful trails, with Millersburg as their next stop tonight. Keep rolling and enjoy the ride, Ashwini and Shubhi! 🌟🚴‍♀️

🚴‍♂️🍺 Today was all about gearing up for an epic Sunday at 2024 Pedals & Pints for Pelotonia (registration closed)! 🌟

We hit the road early to sweep and mark our route, ensuring a smooth ride for everyone. Along the way, we cleared gravel at intersections, making it safer for our cyclists. 🛣️

But it wasn't all work—we had some amazing encounters too! Ran into old friends at Catle's and made new ones at the camel farm. 🐫😄

Sunday is shaping up to be incredible. Can't wait to see you all there, ready to pedal, enjoy pints, and support a great cause! 🚴‍♀️🍻

Tonight I got the thrill of watching Lael Wilcox come through Westerville OH on her way to a cycling Around the World Record Attempt! Several members of the central Ohio cycling community met her @ Innis Woods and escorted her across the dam heading east towards Newark, OH while myself and others cheered her on. It was pretty awesome to watch her come through and meet her partner, Rugile Kaladyte (Rue), an Alaskan writer, storyteller, and photojournalist who covers ultra-endurance events and races.

Due to another event in Nelsonville on September 28th, they're moving Pelotonia Gravel Day to September 21st! 🔄

GRAVEL DAY IS NOW SEPTEMBER 21!

Due to another event in the Nelsonville area on September 28, which includes racing on some of the same roads featured on Gravel Day routes, we’ve made the decision to change our event date.

Gravel Day 2024 is now one week earlier on Saturday, September 21.

Safety is the number one priority in this decision. This change ensures minimal traffic interference and the best possible road conditions.

Riders will experience the same routes as the inaugural ride in 2023, which will start and finish at Snow Fork Event Center. We appreciate your understanding, and hope you can join us for the second annual Pelotonia Gravel Day. 💚🚲
