The directions on this map are the trolley route, which will allow you to see several additional light displays in our town. We weren't able to view everything on the trolley tour, so be sure to take some detour's onto the streets we weren't able to see some more magical displays.

As we wrap up another memorable year of Chamber events, we want to extend our deepest gratitude to the Town of West Point for their incredible partnership and unwavering support year after year, event after event. None of our events would be possible without the hard work, dedication, and behind-the-scenes magic of every town department.

From the early approvals to the countless logistical details, the Town’s leadership and administrative team help guide each event from idea to reality. The The West Point Police Department keeps our community safe and traffic moving smoothly so families can enjoy the festivities with peace of mind. The West Point Volunteer Fire Department shows up time and time again with personnel and EMS support — and plays a vital role in making our parades such a standout tradition.

Public Works deserves a special shout-out for ensuring our streets and event spaces are clean, accessible, and ready for guests. They handle everything from no-parking signs and barricades to checking power, turning on lights, and prepping the spaces that become the heart of our celebrations.

And of course, we’re grateful for the volunteers who show up on event days to lend an extra pair of hands and a whole lot of community spirit.

Your support truly is paramount to every event’s success. We are proud to work alongside a town that shows up for its community time and time again. Thank you, West Point — the tide really does bring us together. 🎄🦀✨

Coming up this weekend is the Festival of the Trees Silent Auction Fundraiser ~ Dec 13 & 14 in West Point in the West Point Square Shopping Center located at 100 Winters Street. Thanks you to our friends, and Chamber member New South Properties of the Carolinas for letting us occupy the space immediately to the left of Food Lion in between them and Advanced Auto Parts.

Individuals, businesses, and organizations are encouraged to donate a decorated tree, garland, wreath or centerpiece to the silent auction.

Festival of the Trees will be held on Saturday, December 13 and Sunday, December 14 from 5:00 - 8:00 pm. Also happening this weekend is the Light Up the Point Trolley Ride, which will depart and return from the Festival of the Trees location.

Putting on huge community festivals, and ensuring that all activities remain free to attendees is pretty expensive.. and it is with the help of local businesses and families that the Chamber is able to make it happen. Our next shout out is to Horn's West Point Ace Hardware for the donation of event supplies that were used to create the event decorations and various supplies.

We have a few more thanks and apprection to give to the supporters of Christmas on the Town in West Point, VA on Sunday, December 7th.

This station was a hit at the event! Everytime we looked, folks were waiting in line to have festive designs painted on their faces. Thank you to our friends at Ryan Homes for supporting our face painting station.

And, we would be remiss if we skipped giving credit to our face painter, Ocean. You can find her at King William Social Services. She painted at West Point Crab Carnival in their booth and we recruited her to be the official face painter for Christmas on The Town this year.

Sam: Hey, did you hear Milby Farm will be at Christmas on The Town in West Point this Sunday?

Pete: Yes! And did you see Melanie making 2 more batches of Christmas Jam this week? It's so good!

Sam: They also have fig jam, clover jellies, zucchini relish, blueberry jam and jelly, and more, all made from fresh ingredients on the farm.

Pete: Don't forget the bread. Zucchini bread and maybe some good fresh bread to hold all that jam.

Sam: I hear they will be bringing a few fresh vegetables and have some potted plants that will make nice gifts!

Pete: Right. So go see Melanie from Milby Farm on Sunday between 7th and 8th street. Load up on good homemade gifts, shop other local vendors and at shops on Main Street. Grab some food or drink, see the parade, kids activities and more.

On Sunday, after the festivities of Christmas on the Town in West Point, VA wrap up, head on down to Beach Park at 1st Street for the Tree of Life Ceremony and Grand Illumination at 5:30 pm.

The Tree of Life Ceremony is where members of the community can submit the names of folks they would like to honor and treasure, whether they have passed or are still here with us today. After a carol or two is sang, we gather and read off the names and light the tree. The tree is a reminder all season long as those who have come before us who have made a difference in our lives, and those who still walk with us who are making differences in our lives.

There is a donation request of $5 per name to benefit the King William County VA250 celebration in April 2026.

❄ Also read that night are the essays of the 2025 Snow Princess and Snow Prince essay contest for third to fifth grade students in West Point. Students are encourage to write a 100 word essay on the topic of how they can make the world a better place this holiday season. Once essays are turned it, names and any personal information is removed, then they are judged by by the WPHS National Honey Society Members.

The elves are still working with the Crabs for 🦀 West Point Crab Carnival 🦀 - but vendor applications and Christmas announcements will start to make their way to Facebook soon.
