West Liberty Practical Shooters We hold regular weeknight, monthly & several Level II Matches throughout the year. We hold regular weeknight USPSA & SCSA matches.

West Liberty Practical Shooters holds USPSA, Steel Challenge (SCSA), Rimfire Challenge (RCSA) & WLPS Style 3-Gun Matches at The West Liberty Gun Club in West Liberty Iowa. The West Liberty Practical Shooters (WLPS) is an all volunteer group of competitors who are dedicated to putting on fun, challenging and exciting matches. Our monthly USPSA Match is on the 4th Sunday of every month April through

October. We are holding three (3) Level II matches in 2021. SCSA Tier II Match May 1st & 2nd, RCSA Level II match in the Summer of 2021 (Date TBD) and the West Liberty Practical Shooters (WLPS) Summer Classic Level II USPSA Match August 21st& 22nd). You are NOT required to be a member of the West Liberty Gun Club to compete in our matches. Just enter through the gate and look for the green check in sign. The West Liberty Practical Shooters (WLPS) wants to remind you that registering for a match in advance on Practiscore.com helps speed up the check-in process and helps get us get started on time.

The Saturday West Liberty Practical Shooters match will run as scheduled. Radar indicates that the rain will start exiting the area between 10 & 11 AM.
Check in starts at 10 AM, the match is scheduled to begin at 11:30.

- ATTENTION STEEL CHALLENGE COMPETITORS -

After receiving several messages, calls and requests the West Liberty Practical Shooters (WLPS) are happy to announce that the WLPS Annual SCSA Spring Warmup Match has been scheduled for 2025. .
The date is April 25th through April 27th, 2025. The weekend after Easter. This is Tier I Match with all eight SCSA Classifier Stages, using the current SCSA Competition Rules..
This date was chosen based on the email responses we received from competitors who have registered for our previous matches. .
By popular demand we will be bringing back the Friday Afternoon (PM) flight to the 2025 Spring Warmup Match:
Friday April 25th will have an afternoon (PM) flight.
Saturday April 26th will have two (2) flights. (AM/PM)
Sunday April 27th will have a morning (AM) flight.
A Sunday afternoon (PM) Flight may be added if enough interest is received.
This schedule will allow you to compete in at least eight divisions.
This match is designed for you to warm up for all the SCSA Matches you plan on attending in the 2025 season..
The 2023 & 2024 matches were both a huge success and the 2025 match will be even better..
The pricing is the same as our monthly Steel Challenge matches, so you can compete in more divisions. You will NOT find a more reasonably priced Steel Challenge Match anywhere in the Midwest that includes all eight SCSA Classifier Stages.

Adult (Meal NOT Included) - $20.00 Each Division.
Pre-Teen & Junior (Meal NOT Included) - $15.00 Each Division.
We are happy to announce that the Wilton Trap Team is coming back as our lunch provider on Saturday April 26th. This is a cash lunch and not included in the match fees..
Registration opens Tuesday September 17th, 2024, at 9 AM..

Attention all Practical Shooters..
We have had several requests to have a couple of Saturday afternoon squads for our monthly practical shooters matches. Not everyone can compete on Sundays so we are making this change to accommodate those folks..
The West Liberty Practical Shooters are changing our September & October Practical Matches to be two (2) days. This is one (1) match with two (2) days of squads..
We have added squads to Practiscore for Saturday afternoon. Those squads will start check-in at noon and the match will begin at 1PM..

The decision was made to break out some of the 'Go Fast Don’t Suck' Stages from a few years ago for the West Liberty Practical Shooters June Practical Shooting Match..
Ian & Kyle will be setting up Saturday morning so we are ready for the match on Sunday..
