West Jefferson Ox Roast West Jefferson Ox Roast is held Saturday, Sunday and Monday Labor Day weekend at Garrette Park. Guests are always welcome to attend.

The West Jefferson Ox Roast is sponsored by the West Jefferson Community Association. The West Jefferson Community Association, serving the community since 1951, meets the second Thursday of each month in the community room of the Hurt-Battelle Memorial Library with a dinner beginning at 6:30 p.m. The group also hosts a steak fry for members and families each August, a Senior Citizens Christmas Pa
