Not every week give you perfect conditions, but growth doesn’t wait for perfect

With the weather keeping us inside, we adjusted. Shorter distance. More reps. More focus on ex*****on.

And it showed
For most of this team, it was the best archery they’ve shot to date

That’s what happens when effort meets intention
Proud of this group

We’re right back to work this week, building on it

Members of the NDAA team wrapped up the indoor season in Bismarck this weekend. Nishu Bowmen hosted a Buckle Shoot, followed by team rounds built around mixed skill levels. Sunday was the ACA State Indoor 3D, long days and a lot of arrows.

I’ve always believed in rewarding effort over results. That said, this team put in the work all year and the results showed. We had Buckle winners, strong team round performances, money earned, and solid shooting across the board at State.

What stands out most to me is the way they support each other. That culture fuels everything.

Indoor season is a wrap. Now we shift gears to outdoor.

Growth

Because archery is hard, success has to be earned, when earned it changes the athlete.

These archers worked hard, prepared, faced fear and pressure, executed on their goals.

I saw different people at the end of The weekend as a result.

Growth, we’ve seen it all year!

NFAA Indoor Nationals, Memphis.
A weekend to remember, these four work hard, they earned everything while doing things the right way

Shout out to Gage on his podium finish, funny how just missing 3 X’s and you end up in 3rd. I think we’re living in the good old days of competitive youth archery, the standard is higher than ever.

We get a small break, have some fun this upcoming weekend at the Scheels Twin Arrow Classic, then more members join in and we head to Las Vegas for the Vegas Shoot.

This past weekend at NDACA State Vegas, hosted right here at Sandhills, our NDAA High Performance Team showed exactly who they are becoming.

There were nerves, shoot-offs, goals reached, and a few that pushed us to want more.

But more than anything the theme of the season has been growth. I read a line in a book: “Real growth happens inside the hard parts.”
That sums up this past week for our team.

Growth isn’t comfortable. It happens in a heart pounding shoot-off. It happens when you fight to urge to look at the score, or when you miss one and decide who you’re going to be on the next arrow.

I’m proud of their grit, resilience, proud of the way they lean into their process, no shortcuts.

Over the past couple months, I’ve watch confidence build, through hard work, earned results, and trust in preparation. That kind of growth doesn’t fade, it propels.

Next up, the national stage.
The NDAA HPT will represent local archery at both Indoor Nationals and The Vegas Shoot this month, they’re ready.

Because they’ve done the hard parts
And that’s where the real growth lives.

Members of the NDAA High Performance Team showed up strong in the Vegas Money shoot .

The level of talent in the area is incredible, our youth didn’t just participate, they competed. They held their own, trusted their process, and proved they belong on the line with the best in the area.

This kicks off a busy five-week run of archery tournament across the country. The work has been put in Now we get to what it show up under pressure. Proud of this group!

Giving Hearts Day is this Thursday, February 12th.

At NDAA, we provide a guided path into and all the way through your archery journey. From Beginner classes, to leagues, to our High Performance Team competing on national stages, and everything in between.

Events like the Frozen 600 and ArrowFest create opportunities for every type of archer, youth, adult, recreational, and competitive. But beyond the scores and tournaments, we’re building confidence, discipline, resilience, and lifelong friendships.

We are working every day to keep archery alive and thriving in our community and beyond.

With your support this Giving Hearts Day, we can continue to grow opportunities, develop young leaders, and change lives through the sport of archery.
