John and I would love for you to join us Saturday June 11 for a potluck dinner and house concert with singer/songwriter Cosy Sheridan, whose performances are consistently both thought-provoking and entertaining. Potluck starts at 6pm, concert at 7:30. If you would like to just come for the concert, that's fine too. We are looking forward to an evening of good friends and great music!
Space is limited, so please RSVP [[email protected]]. For each concert, your $15 per person all goes to the artist, to support live music!
Cosy's 2014 release, Pretty Bird, was chosen as one of Sing Out Magazine's "Great CDs of 2014.” And she has recently released a new CD, Sometimes I Feel Too Much, containing some of her best writing yet. Cosy will be joined by the talented Charlie Koch on bass and harmony vocals. (And I will probably sing a few harmonies as well.) I have thoroughly enjoyed every single Cosy performance I've attended, and I've been to quite a few! http://cosysheridan.com/
Also, mark your calendars for our next house concert after that, on Friday July 8 with master finger style guitarist Pat Donohue, the guitarist for the “ Guys All-Star Shoe Band” of Minnesota Public Radio’s A Prairie Home Companion, for twenty years. Again, we will host potluck dinner at 6:00 pm and concert at 7:30. Pat manages to blend jazz and blues with folk, and the mix is seamless. Over the years he has captivated audiences with his unique original compositions, dazzling instrumentals and humorous song parodies, including Sushi-Yucki and Would You Like to Play the Guitar? http://www.patdonohue.com/
Hope to see you on Saturday June 11 and Friday July 8! Please RSVP if you can join us for one or both evenings.
