Creating homemade chicken stock today πŸ˜€. The convenience of pre-packaged chicken and beef broths has led to a decline in the art of homemade broth-making. However, store-bought alternatives cannot replicate the rich flavor of homemade broths. To make a superior broth, save chicken bones, carcasses, leftover onions, peelings, fresh carrots, celery, bell peppers, parsley ends, and herbs. These ingredients combine to create a delicious homemade broth. Tips: roast chicken or beef bones in the oven for at least an hour before boiling. Mixing green and white peppercorns with black peppercorns enhances the aromatic flavor. Cooking times are essential: 4-6 hours for chicken and 8 hours for beef. A good homemade broth cannot be rushed. Give it a try, and you will undoubtedly notice the difference.

On Friday, March 13th, we will be hosting a March Tasting Menu, with seatings scheduled for 5:30pm and 7:30pm. The Tasting Menu will also be available on Sunday, March 15th, with seatings at 10:45am and 12:45pm. In response to popular demand, we are introducing Sunday Tastings, as Sunday lunches have long been a beloved tradition at Porches. For guests who prefer chicken, we will offer it as a substitute for the fish entree, instead of the halibut. You can make reservations by messaging us or by email [email protected]. We expect Sunday reservations to go fast, so i would not wait to make reservations.
