33 years ago, Ryland had a dream: to one day take English riding lessons and participate in horse shows. And, that dream has come true. As with many other opportunities and goodness
in life, one has to practice patience and tact. Ryland has done that. He now enjoys driving his Friesian in many different venues with both determination and purpose. He will serve the IFSHA board in the same way, with determination and purpose. He wishes nothing but the best for this group and will help them to continue to grow and prosper.

Meet our next Nominee 💫

Alice Eanes

After owning and showing Saddlebreds for several years, Alice became a Friesian owner and member of IFSHA in 2019. She has participated in the last three IFSHA World Championships with her driving horse, Eclipse. She has a master’s degree in strategic leadership, as well as extensive experience in marketing and recruitment through her work in higher education and in retail business ownership. She served as the horse show committee chairman for the 2025 IFSHA championships. She also served two years on the board of directors of the American Saddlebred Horse Association of the Virginias.

She looks forward to bringing the perspective of an amateur owner and exhibitor to the board of directors, and to helping IFSHA continue to grow and provide opportunities for its members to show and enjoy their amazing Friesians and Part-Friesians.

Meet our next Nominee ✨

Stephanie Burke
Stephanie Burke has been involved in the horse-showing community since the age of 10 and has owned and shown Friesian horses for the past three years. She currently owns Dryske fan Winn, a 9-year-old KFPS-registered, Ster AA Friesian mare, affectionately known as “Ryska” around the barn. Stephanie shows Ryska in hunt seat, while her husband competes in open pleasure driving, driven dressage, and cones. Together, they have enjoyed a successful show career with Ryska, including the 2025 Reserve Horse of the Year title through the Northeast Friesian Horse Council. Ryska has also earned top year-end awards in both Driving and Friesian Pleasure through the New Hampshire Horse & Trail Association and the New England Horsemen’s Council.

These experiences have given Stephanie an appreciation for the versatility of the Friesian and the many opportunities available to showcase the breed.

Stephanie currently serves as Secretary and Points Secretary for the Northeast Friesian Horse Council (NEFHC), as well as Points and Member Secretary for the New Hampshire Horse & Trail Association (NHHTA). Through these leadership roles, she has developed valuable experience in organization, communication, record keeping, points management, and supporting the success of equestrian organizations.

Stephanie describes herself as organized, enthusiastic, and passionate about the Friesian breed. She would be honored to bring her experience and enthusiasm to the IFSHA Board of Directors and continue promoting the Friesian and its many talents and disciplines. She hopes to help provide opportunities for Friesians to showcase their versatility, bring the community together, welcome and encourage new owners and exhibitors, and support the next generation of Friesian enthusiasts.

Stephanie believes that by building a strong, inclusive, and welcoming community, IFSHA can continue to grow participation and visibility while celebrating everything that makes the Friesian breed so special.

Meet our next nominee ✨

Jillian Moezzi
My passion for horses started at 2 years old, when I was diagnosed with hypodipsia and twisted femurs. Shriners Hospital stuck me on a horse for hippotherapy, and it grew into a lifelong love for horses and riding.

From there I entered the Hunter/Jumper world and spent over 16 years competing all around the country before taking a break and attending University of South Carolina earning my degree in Business Management with a minor in Computer Science.

Last year I was blessed to pursue a new journey into the dressage world with an
amazing Friesian gelding named Finn for a season. Coming from the Hunter/Jumper
world I have embraced the challenge of learning many new disciplines and developed a deep appreciation and love for the Friesian breed.

The gift of having the experience with animals beyond the show ring has opened so many doors for me. I worked as a large and small animal vet assistant for many years. I also have a horse farm in Okatie, South Carolina where I have my retired show horses and also work with the County to provide a soft landing for rescue livestock. These life experiences have given me a strong appreciation for responsible horsemanship, animal welfare, and the importance of supporting both horses and the people who care for them.

I would be honored to serve on the IFSHA Board of Directors and bring my perspective as an adult amateur, competitor, lifelong horsewoman, and advocate for the breed. I hope to contribute to the continued growth of IFSHA while helping create a welcoming, supportive, and positive community for Friesian enthusiasts and exhibitors.

It’s a soggy Sunday here in New England! ☔️

And while we’re all probably spending a little more time than usual tirelessly scrolling through Facebook today… what better time to meet the nominees for the IFSHA Board of Directors!

Over the course of today, we’ll be introducing our nominees so our members can get to know a little more about each person, their background, their involvement with the Friesian community, and what they hope to bring to IFSHA.

🐴 First up…

George (Gino) Guaraldi
Owner & Lead Instructor, Just-In-Time Farm Londonderry, New Hampshire

For more than 30 years, Gino Guaraldi has dedicated his life to horses, riding, driving, teaching, and helping people develop a deeper connection with their equine partners.

Gino and his wife Kim are the owners of Just-In-Time Farm, a 23-acre equestrian facility in Londonderry, New Hampshire. What began with a lifelong passion for horses has grown into a family-oriented farm where riders of all ages and abilities can learn, train, compete, and simply enjoy the horse experience.

Gino’s equestrian education includes training at the Fulmer School of Equitation in England, under Robert Hall, who served as director of the Spanish Riding School and head of the British Olympic Equestrian Team.

Gino's instruction is grounded in classical dressage principles, balanced riding, correct communication, and developing the individual strengths of both horse and rider.

Over his career, Gino has taught and trained across a wide range of disciplines, including dressage, hunt seat, saddle seat, western, carriage driving, show driving, in-hand and park. He works with beginners through advanced competitors and believes that every horse is an individual requiring an approach tailored to its temperament, abilities, and needs.

His students have gone on to compete successfully at local, regional, and national levels, earning championships and reserve championships in disciplines including dressage, carriage driving, pleasure driving, hunt seat, equitation, western pleasure, saddle seat, and costume.

Beyond competition, Gino believes that good horsemanship is about much more than ribbons. His goal is to help riders become confident, knowledgeable horsemen and women who understand how to communicate with their horses and bring out the very best in them.

At Just-In-Time Farm, that philosophy is reflected in everything from individualized instruction and horse training to the care and comfort provided to the horses.

The farm’s motto captures Gino’s approach perfectly:
“Making Memories One Hoof Print at a Time.”

Whether working with a first-time rider, preparing an experienced competitor for the show ring, training a driving horse, or helping an owner understand their horse better, Gino’s passion remains the same: building confidence, developing communication, and creating a lifelong partnership between horse and human.

There is nothing quite like the presence of a Friesian stallion. From the moment they enter the ring, they command attention but behind that unmistakable presence is the athleticism, intelligence, versatility, and character that make the Friesian breed so extraordinary.

Our stallions represent more than what we see in the show ring. They represent generations of careful breeding, preservation, and the promise of what comes next.

Today, IFSHA celebrates the Friesian and Part-Bred Friesian stallions who have left their mark on our breed .. whether through competition, breeding, performance, or simply being unforgettable partners.
