Well, here I am stuck in Michigan. So, swallowing the bitter pill of realizing I probably won't get back to Garrett County/Deep Creek to put on another race. Might as well do it here. Not as much elevation - but lot more public waterways and endless Federal Forestry lands lot's of opportunity here for Adventure Races and Long Distance Paddling races! 65 mile mile paddle anyone?

Well, couldn't say much about why I wasn't putting the race on this year but here's why.
I am planning on 2020 return race not just 1 but 2 races.

I'd like to thank all the racers and volunteers over the past few years back with putting on the Black Bear. As of right now I have no plans to produce it again, the call of the west has me inching closer to bigger mountains with snowier tops and deeper canyons. Thanks again. Sero.

Well, my friend Karyn Lowery DuLaney, asked if I could have a CP that you could swim to. Well, everyone, you can thank her for this cp I set today. The water was a warm 55 degrees.
