This year's HarborFest was a BLAST! What could be better than spending the day at Harbor Park, catching crabs, holding starfish, throwing lobster traps, eating delicious food (or a dozen doughnuts), and enjoying the best that the Wells community has to offer!

IronClad Martial Arts is a new business in Wells who has already shown a huge commitment to our community through their support of this event. They recently opened their location at 45 Wells Plaza and offer classes for children and adults in Krav Maga, Muay Thai, and No Gi Jiu Jitsu, with a focus on confidence, fitness, practical self defense, and personal growth.

Sign up for the annual HarborFest Doughnut Eating contest with Congdons Doughnuts to see for yourself, or plan to stop by the gazebo at 2:30 pm to cheer on the winners. A big thank you to Congdon's Doughnuts for making this HarborFest tradition possible!

Dough you have what it takes? We are looking for 10 people who think they have what it takes to eat a baker’s dozen (or more!) of doughnuts in just 10 minutes!

🗓️ When: Saturday, July 25th Contest starts at 2:30pm, check in at 2:15pm

📍Where: Wells Harbor, Maine. At the Gazebo

Prizes for the top 3 winners! No puking allowed 🙂

Must be 18 years or have permission from a parent or legal guardian to participate!

You will receive a confirmation email if you are selected. We get hundreds of emails of people hoping to sign up, so donut wait! First come, first deserve!

HarborFest is just around the corner, and we are looking for a few more volunteers to help make the day a success!

Whether you are a student looking to earn community service hours, or a resident or visitor who can spare an hour, two hours, or a little more, we would love to have your help on Saturday, July 25.

Available volunteer shifts:

9 am -11 am: Setup, greeting attendees, and helping vendors find their spaces. (2 volunteers needed)
11 am -1 pm or 1pm -3 pm: Children's activities and games. (2 volunteers needed)
11 am -2:00 pm: Lobster Trap Throwing Contest (measuring throws and keeping score). (2 volunteers needed)

We are one month out from this year's Wells HarborFest, happening July 25 from 11 am-3 pm, and we can't wait to see you there!

Here are some of the things that make HarborFest so special:

⛱️A first of its kind lobster trap throwing competition (and the only time that you will actually be encouraged to throw a lobster trap around!)
⛱️An exciting K-9 demo from Wells Police, where you can see your community K-9s, Atlas, Indy and Bacchus in action.
⛱️ A Wells Maine Fire Department obstacle course, where you can try your hand at using a fire hose.
⛱️ Live music from the talented Common Ground Band, bringing us all our favorite hits from past decades to today.
⛱️ A crabbing contest hosted by , where you can try your skills at crabbing and compete for prizes.
⛱️ Delicious food, from a BBQ Cookout by Rotary Club of Wells, Maine, to Caribbean favorites from Tropical Caribbean, refreshing coffee drinks from Belles Coffee, and more!
⛱️ Booths hosted by some of our favorite local partners, including , , , York County Community College - Wells, Maine, , and Stay; For Life.
⛱️ Ride to the event in style, thanks to Ogunquit Trolley.
⛱️ Our infamous Doughnut Eating Contest, hosted by Congdon's Doughnuts, to test how many doughnuts you can really eat in 10 minutes.
