Summer Solstice Crafts Shows

Summer Solstice Crafts Shows In the summer of 1982 a few fellow crafter friends and I held our first Summer Solstice Craft Show on the lawn of the Wells Junior High School.

It was our desire to offer crafters a venue to display, demonstrate and sell their quality handcrafted items. It was our desire to offer crafters a venue to display, demonstrate and sell their quality handcrafted items to our seasonal visitors and local residents. We wanted to share, promote and celebrate creativity while offering a quality, enjoyable shopping experience. Thanks to the support of our crafters, artisans and the attending public our shows have grown to be three of the most recognizable shows held on the seacoast of Maine. We are very proud of our shows and crafters and have strived to maintain the integrity of high quality shows with multiple craft media. The Summer Solstice and League of Maine Craft Shows have always been run and juried by fellow crafts people. I am truly privileged to wear the title of Show Director to these shows. We hope to meet you at one or all of this years' shows. Look for our tall flags and come enjoy the day!
