The historic w**d Palace Theater, was originally built in 1907 burning in 1917 and being rebuilt by 1919. Recorded as originally being the "Greek Coffee House and pool hall" as per placard placed by Historical Society. Being run at that time as a card room, the building would host live Orchestra performance. With original Orchestra pit still intact, under upgraded stage remodel. Now offering a stage nearly for 30 foot across and 50 foot deep to the back wall. With Forty Foot projection screen creating division for backstage area bringing stage to a 30 foot wide 25 foot deep area. 8 by 12 small enclosed Green Room for artist or Sound Room for recording offered backstage, with room to build more. Currently 285 seats in place though originally there were more that could be restored. 399 occupancy is offered with Lobby and main ballroom. Additional upstairs rooms and areas offer space for hospitality. With some improvements could make a nice efficiency apartment or two. Attic offers extra storage and access. Original balcony was enclosed for recording studio and offers a large room overlooking Ballroom. With many stories in these walls from Ten Cent movies the stories of the teenagers and up only balcony. This building is an iconic Landmark for the history of Siskiyou County. Representing a time where there was great pride in our communities. The theater is an investment to the Arts and Music for the future. The long-term potential can produce lasting income, work, and outlet for creativity in the area. The profits have gradually increased over three years of business with loss through the first two years and marginal profit in the year 3 now. Licensing is active and many challenges have been met. Projected that the profits will increase by ten thousand a year at current rate. With collaborative management, the projected profits have potential to increase. The real estate also holds value. The building is needing roof replacement, that will be priority to fund. Then consequential repairs. All improvements will be increasing value of real estate holdings. The Mount Shasta Region is a desirable area for real estate holdings and Commercial Business growth. The building has commercial and residential use. Can house live in manager. Great potential for grant funding with its nature. The unique decoration of the building offers and inspiring space for bringing stage performance to life. There has been noticeable economic growth in the city of w**d. A Grocery Outlet in Starbucks have opened within the past year. Downtown Main Street has Progressive new recreational zoning. The convenient access from I-5, allows for performers to stop through when already in route. The securing of the real estate purchase for the w**d Palace Theater, is a way to hold stock in a gem of a historical asset. With many obstacles to building a new business already accomplished, projected increase is a low as estimate.
