Now that I had a couple days to collect my thoughts and catch up on work wanted to put out and official THANK YOU!!! ððð post to anyone who pulled up!!! Wuzz fugggin legit!!
First off yes sorry to anyone I was brief with day off. What ever force out there that didn't want the event to happen was out in full effect. For like 8 mknth straight.. I know I'm supposed to act like it was perfect for optics, but we homegrown f**k that! Yall me! Here's all the major bu****it that went wrong. If I got into all the minor s**t prolly have to make that into an anthology.
1. Insurance kept telling me no. Stringing me along with quotes but ultimately telling me no shaving time off each time.
2. Could not find anyone to do sound for me for under 10k. Several ATX companies and outside companies quoted me this. Usually much much higher (50k?!) I explained its not a major fest... For the cause right?
3. The venue switched leadership a couple months before the event had to renegotiate and go through everything all over because communication was non existent with previous person.
4. Emt told me would do and three days before the event called me to tell me I would need muchuch more EMTs. At least 10. I explained the event was not thay large they did not care. Pay for 10 or they would not do. I already paid them 1k+ deposit. Had to find new emt in 2 days during ROT Rally..
5. Security team only showed up with 2 of 3 people and not all agreed equipment.
6. Several vendors and food fenders cancelled with zero notice even though I checked in weeks prior. Got busy and when I managed to check in 2 days prior just to be sure Several could not make it due to insane unforseen circumstances..
7. Generator at venue did not work. Had to provide my own power and find transportation for it.
8. Venue hired thier own sound guy. I paid venue. Venue advised he would meet wed at team meeting to set up and sound check. He does not show. We get a hold of him he say was unaware of anything but ASSURES me he will be out Friday afternoon to set up for Saturdays event. Friday comes and goes no sound equipment and zero phone call until 2am saying could help at noon the next day. I already found back up equipment thank God but thay was almost impossible as my I D is out of town so rock n roll would not rent to me. But figured it out rented it locally and transported them bi***es 2 big ass subs and 3 speakers in a f**king surge challenge WITH 3 PPL.
9. Tube shuttle never set up
10. Kegs get locked at venue and was unable to be unlocked for over hour on set up day.
11. Several artist day of could not make it after assuming me up to the say of they would.
12. Couple graff guys flaked
13. My sound guy gets into it with venue threatens not to come back. Big T talks to him..
14. Event signs get lost in the mail. Have to find new ones week before.
15. During craziness of the sound fiasco we forget the wristbands day of! ðĪĢðĪĢ
16. My f**kjng flash drive flies off my lanyard on the way to the event.. closest one u can pur have 30 miles away.. but I was performing either way lol. Made it happen.
17. This the worst one. Tons of mfs looking at the opportunity to make some dollars off me instead of being for the cause which clearly this event is a little different and not a big production company putting on. Some I paid if they provided something, some I told f**k off don't need ya, but either way that s**t defiantly gets noticed and was non stop so if I aont call ya back you know you might wanna rethink your tactics around mfs who trying build something.. ijs
Was a million more things but I'm tired of typing em lol..I just know that EVERYBODY THAT I TOLD WOULD BE PAID WAS PAID THE NIGHT OF. Everyone had a great time. No one got hurt! Was glad the event still ended up being solid all the way around!!
Now to the fun s**t!
Man I saw pretty much every single person I have worked with music on in atx at this thang so that s**t was so dope. All the artist that pull up brought dope ass energy. I never saw anything negative happening and that's what it's all about!! People buying merch! Don't forget you can still buy some @ atxcypher.com. Lot of yall wanted different sizes well there ya go!! It was a fire event. I think about 299 or so people pulled up. It's hard to tell since we forgot the wristbands lmao. THANK YALL SO MUCH!! WAS CRAZY!! Not a lot of people can say they legitimately threw a mf music event, probably almost zero can say did it independently. Barz, Jarz & MF Cigarz!! ððð Let's fuccckkking goooo!!
I would of liked to see more regular people with all the money I spent on ads but it's first year with no previous footage so that was to be expected. I think would double if we do agian. I ended up spending around 10k to make the festival happen when it was all said and done which isn't too bad. But if I do it agian going to want to make it multiple days so everything going to cost more which DO NOT FORGET, if you had a dope time you can still donate! I'm not 100% sure I will do it next year quite year. I can't keep paying for it that's 100% for sure I'm nit balling like that. But obviously I would love to keep it a tradition that was the orginal idea. So I'll be reaching out to sponsors and investors and in already taling with a few guys who want to help me organize and run it. If you know anyone that might like to have thier hand in it, or yourself, hmu and let's talk!! More wallets mean more s**t we can do! Hmu!
If I do it agian will be mutiple day, and will sell tickets. With how many ppl came this year I would have tp charge about 50$ a ticket to break even. Obviously want to off set that some with investors and what not.. but would yall pay 50$ to go camp out at multi-day independent atx hip hop festival?? Would do it a but earlier in the year maybe April so it's a bit cooler. Man those overnight chills at campfire after full day of dope music during festivals are for sure some of the best times my life. Wanna have that in ATX!! For hiphop!!
I REALLLY appreciate yall making it into what yall did. Would of just been me out there with expensive ass birthday party if no knew showed up lol. It was the dopest time I have had since moving to Austin 12 yrs ago..by a looooooong shot. ðððð

Big shout to my girl, Big T, Kieran, Martin, Sandman, and Ion. All you came through for me no questions asked like a mf homie should. Not only that but just being solid not trying make a buck off someone in a certain situation. That s**t boils my blood and I have seen more then my fair share amount of it in ATX and makes me f**king sad cuz im just tryna push ATX.. you start to see why Ppl say what they do about music scene here...
