I’m attending the Ohio Festivals & Events Association Annual Conference at the Kalahari Convention Center in Sandusky, Ohio — learning from some of the very best in the industry! 🙌

This conference brings together festival organizers and event professionals from all across Ohio to share ideas, inspiration, and strategies to make our community events even better. I can’t wait to bring back new insights and fresh ideas for our own festivals in Waynesville!

Because when we learn, we grow… and when we grow, our community shines even brighter. 💛

Congratulations to our 2025 Waynesville Seniors who were awarded the Ohio Sauerkraut Festival Scholarship Awards!

Thanks to the generosity of our festival sponsors, Chamber members, local businesses, and individuals, we were able to award six scholarships this year!

Jane Jones Memorial Scholarship – $1,250
Awarded to Ali Schuette.
This is the third year for this special family scholarship, created in memory of Jane Jones, who loved the Sauerkraut Festival deeply. The award goes to a student who shares that same passion for the festival.

Ohio Sauerkraut Festival Scholarships – $1,500 each
Congratulations to Bella Bradley, Evelyn Malcolm, and Grace Royalty for earning this year’s festival scholarships!

Founders Scholarship – $1,800
In honor of Albert “Capp” Stubbs, founder of the Ohio Sauerkraut Festival, this year’s scholarship is awarded to Shree Patel.

Joe C***s Community Service Scholarship – $2,000
Awarded to Ashlyn Callahan for her outstanding community service and leadership.

We are so proud of these incredible students and grateful to everyone who supports the next generation through this beloved tradition.
Your generosity continues to make a lasting impact on our community and its future!
