The Wayne County 4-H Timed Event Rodeo is coming up July 25, 2026 at 9:00 AM in the Horse Arena at the Wayne County Fairgrounds!
4-H Horse Project members who have completed Horsemanship Level II are welcome to enter โ even if youโre from another county or state.
Events include:
โข Barrel Racing
โข Pole Bending
โข Goat Tying
โข Breakaway Roping
โข Dally Team Roping (heading & heeling)

The Wayne County 4-H Timed Event Rodeo is July 25, 2026, at 9:00 a.m. in the Horse Arena at the Wayne County Fairgrounds (301 Pheasant Run Wayne, NE 68787). Entries are accepted until June 30, 5:00 p.m. Enter at https://go.unl.edu/waynerodeoentry.
Any currently enrolled 4-H Horse project member that has completed Horsemanship Level II, regardless of county or state enrollment, is welcome! Events include Barrel Racing, Pole Bending, Goat Tying, Break-a-way Roping, and Dally Team Roping (heading & heeling). One entry per event per exhibitor. $10/event payable day of the rodeo (cash or check payable to Desi Irish). Belt Buckles awarded to all class winners!
*Horses must be currently IDโd as a 4-H Horse project animal.
*Rules according to the current Nebraska 4-H Horse Show and Judging Guide.
*Dress code: Jeans, Long Sleeved Button-up Shirt (does not have to be white), Boots, Cowboy Hat/Helmet
*Age Divisions are determined by youthโs age as of December 31, 2025.
Junior - ages 8-13
Senior - ages 14-18

Round Robin Team Roping follows the 4-H Rodeo on July 25.

*Capped at a #4
*12 a side
*$200 entry fee (cash only) for non-4-H timed event contestants payable day of rodeo.

Team Roping will be Sunday, July 26 at 1:00 PM in the Horse Arena. Contact Ray Hermelbracht to enter. Stalling is available for those that want to stay over and participate.
