September 12-13 2026
Downtown Wausau

The Wausau Festival of Arts has been Central Wisconsin’s largest outdoor arts festival since 1965. Each fall, more than 100 juried fine artists showcase and sell their work. Visitors can explore a wide variety of art—fiber, pottery, paintings, sculpture, jewelry, glass, and more—creating a one‑of‑a‑kind shopping experience at the start of Wisconsin’s autumn season.

The festival is proudly run by a dedicated board and a team of volunteers who work year‑round to support the Wausau area community. With Zoe serving as our Festival Coordinator, we continue to build an event that celebrates creativity, connection, and the vibrant spirit of the arts in Central Wisconsin.

Today, we remember our dear friend and longtime supporter Agnes "Aggie" Gund, who passed away yesterday.
For over 50 years, Aggie stood by Christo and Jeanne-Claude, championing their vision with her generosity and friendship. Her belief in their work and her encouragement were a source of strength throughout decades of projects that transformed landscapes and redefined public art.
We are deeply grateful for her service on the Board of the Christo and Jeanne-Claude Foundation, where she guided us with wisdom and care during three important years.
Aggie's legacy lives on not only through her extraordinary contributions to the arts, but also in the memories of those who had the privilege of working alongside her and calling her a friend.
She will be profoundly missed, but her spirit of kindness, courage, and support will remain with us always.
