NEWS RELEASE April 10th, 2026
AMERICAN UCI CYCLOCROSS SERIES – 2026 updates
The USCX Series enters its sixth year with several updates to the 2026 format. Most notably, the series
will move forward without Trek Bicycles as title sponsor. USCX executive director, Scott Page, said
“Trek has been wonderful for the last 2 years and has made a significant impact on the series. They
continue to support and positively impact the sport we all love, and we’re very grateful for that.”
For 2026, the series will shift to a three-race format, held on consecutive weekends, with all events
classified as UCI C1/C2 races. Series management anticipates returning to a four-race format in 2027.
Feedback from both amateur and elite athletes led to another key change: a later start in
September. This adjustment helps avoid early-season heat and reduces conflicts with late-season
events in other cycling disciplines.
The three venues showcase premier North American cyclocross events while highlighting the
character of their host communities. The series will feature Rochester Cyclocross in Rochester, New
York; Virginia’s Blue Ridge Go Cross in Roanoke, Virginia; and conclude with Charm City Cross in
Baltimore, Maryland.
Each event will offer a UCI weekend purse exceeding $16,000. In addition, the USCX Series will award
a $15,000 overall purse for Elite athletes, split evenly between men and women. Series standings and
points will be tracked throughout at uscx.us for both elite and amateur competitors.
“Our goal is to deliver three consecutive weekends of world-class racing,” said Page. “By aligning
these premier events, we’re creating a powerful platform for athletes and an exciting experience for
fans.”
