⚓ Happy National (USA) Maritime Day! 🇺🇸

America’s waterways tell a remarkable story, from canals that helped build cities and expand trade, to inland navigation networks that continue to support transportation, industry, tourism, and recreation.

As we celebrate National Maritime Day, we also look ahead to the 2026 World Canals Conference in Guilin, China, where the international waterways community will gather to share ideas, preserve heritage, and explore the future of canals and inland navigation.

To everyone working on, along, and in support of our waterways, thank you.

Give way to tonnage!

When you see a tug and barge approaching:
⚓ Slow down
⚓ Move over
⚓ Give them room to navigate

And take a moment to appreciate the vital role marine transportation plays in moving goods and keeping our waterways working. 🌊🚢
