Sorry to report that the Paddle of the Flight and the Treasure Hunt have been cancelled due to some unforeseen circumstances. We will try to have them back next year! But just because we can't paddle as a group doesn't mean you can't paddle the flight on your own! Grab some friends. The canal system is for boaters of all kinds. Contact Upstate Kayak for all of your kayak renting needs! 😃 Or even book a pontoon charter for your floating pleasure!

Did you know...

that Universal Office Supply was built in 1956? This building shop doesn’t sound like a historical tourist spot, but there is GREAT history inside, being the site where the first meetings took place to start Waterford’s first Tugboat Roundup. Inside and throughout the space, view numerous historical canal photographs donning many of the walls throughout! Stop in and enjoy a tour!

Well, not much of the Village folks came out we were hoping for. Just us ol’ folk (Van Dervoorts, Bakers, Al) and one young buck did what we could do cleaning up the Champlain Canal Trailway, while Mayor Craig Falcone did some much needed w**d whacking and leaf blowing up at Lock 2. Thank you guys for all your help!! We did what we could! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 Looks good!!!

We of course want our local community to look its very best at all times. But especially for visitors and tourists traveling to and through the Village for the Waterford Canal Festival in May.

If you are able, please come join us to clean up around and about the Erie Canal with us this year!

Bring gloves, rakes, garbage pickers or whatever you have to help. Many hands make light work. Your help and support would be so greatly appreciated!
