The High 5ive Golf Foundation Golf Outing Auction is LIVE! This charitable outing, hosted by former MSU and NFL quarterback Drew Stanton, raises critical funds and awareness for our athletes.

Check out the great items including MSU and pro-sports memorabilia, experiences and ticket packages. Auction will close after TODAY at approximately 5:00 PM. If you win, Special Olympics staff will coordinate item hand-off with you!

We at the Sheriff's Office want to remind residents to be prepared for incliment weather. Metro Detroit is expecting an accumulation of snowfall between 5-7" this afternoon into Thursday.

We send a big shout out to our friends at Corewell Health!! They came out in extremely cold temps for a Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day of Service! They were paired with Special Olympics Young Adult Athlete Leaders from Detroit & Southfield!! Each one assisted our Athlete Leaders with completing and presenting a story about “The Best Day Ever” and Dr. MLK, Jr. was a part of each one’s story!! This was fun practice for public speaking skills as UNIFIED PAIRS. We ended our time together engaged in a UNIFIED SPORTS activity (Table Top Pickleball & Pickleball skills) to help build socialization skills. Witness the smiles and fun they had in the photos!

I had the pleasure of spending the evening with these two beautiful young ladies at the 55th Bayview Yacht Club Women's Fashion Show. All proceeds benefitting Special Olympics Michigan! They shared their stories, smiles, and hugs! Indeed it was a delightful time!
