WISCGW – West Indian Social Club of Greater Waterbury

Our Story

In 2010, a group of dedicated West Indian business leaders in the City of Waterbury came together to form the West Indian Social Club of Greater Waterbury, LLC (“WISCGW”) for the purpose of giving a uniform voice to not only to the West Indian diaspora currently lacking representation in the City of Waterbury, but to also include ou

r community at large. In 2014, the idea of the Waterbury Jerk Festival was born and the WISCGW created this event to serve as a platform to educate, advocate, promote and showcase the best of the West Indian and American culture through entertainment, food, cultural and sporting events – with a portion of the proceeds from our events going towards charitable contributions in the community through Waterbury PAL, Walnut Orange Walsh NRZ Community Learning Center – Waterbury (WOW) and our own efforts to provide back to school backpacks and scholarships to the children in our community.
