🙌 to Franklin County Missouri 4-H for these awesome exhibitor features!

It's Monday once again and time to spread a little more sunshine with another great 4-H story! Meet Emoree, a 6th year 4-H member who is super active in her club. She's determined to make a difference in her community by serving others and is having a blast along the way!

"Hi. My name is Emoree, and I am a member of 4Ever Clever 4-H Club. I am currently vice president of my club. Over the 4-H year, I have raised pigs, created crafts, and volunteered at the Snack Shack to benefit the Washington Fair. To help at my school, my club worked together to clean up and revitalize the Nature Center. We also collected items for the Jesse Tree and made blankets for the nursing home. In June, my friends and I went to Camp Derricotte for 4-H Camp. We all participated in fun activities and learned how to benefit our community. It was my absolute favorite part of the year!"

Way to go Emoree! We're so proud of you and all the ways you volunteer to help others. Keep up the good work!

🥳Let’s hear it for ALL of the volunteers that make our Fair a success! In addition to our volunteer Fair Board, we also have committee members and Fair Assistants, plus volunteer organizations that help with a ton of operational tasks in our gates and food/drink stands. 🙌 It takes more than a village - it’s a whole community of people that love the Fair and what we are all able to accomplish through it. THANK YOU!

Did you know most of the "heavy lifting" for our Fair is done by a group of 24 dedicated volunteers? We're lucky to have staff in the Washington Area Chamber of Commerce office, but to celebrate National Volunteer Week, we want to shine a spotlight on our volunteer board!
