The Washington County Fair Association (Fair Board) is proud to announce the completion of a recent improvement project at the fairgrounds with the installation of four new fans in the Gold Barn.

This project was made possible through a collaborative effort and generous support from the Washington County FFA Alumni, the Conrad Stewart Memorial, and grant funding provided by Farmers Cooperative with matching support from Land O’Lakes.

These improvements will enhance comfort and usability of the Gold Barn for exhibitors, livestock, and visitors, further supporting the Fair Association’s mission to provide a high-quality environment for youth and community events.

We’re excited to introduce a new format for Division Q at the Washington County Fair — designed to reward participation and celebrate student creativity!

✨ WHAT’S NEW & EXCITING
🏅 EVERY STUDENT GETS A RIBBON
All entries receive a participation ribbon — every student is recognized!
💰 SCHOOL PARTICIPATION PAYOUTS
Schools earn money based on total entries (paid to the school, not individuals):
• 1–50 entries → $50
• 51–100 → $100
• 101–200 → $200
• 201+ entries → $300

🏆 BEST OF SHOW – TOP 10!
• 10 outstanding exhibits selected from ALL entries
• Each earns a large Best of Show ribbon
• Schools receive additional premium money for each winner

• Up to 3 entries per student
• Pre-entry required (via teacher spreadsheet emailed soon!)
• Check-in: Tuesday 8–9 AM | Check-out: Sunday 8–9 AM

Become a sponsor!

Sign up by May 1 to have your name featured in the fair book. You can become a sponsor anytime, but to be included the fairbook that goes out to all 4H families, May 1 is the deadline.

Why sponsor the fair? Your support helps fund entertainment, grounds improvements, and activities that create lasting experiences for our kids. Every dollar goes back into making the fair better for the whole community.

We are still looking for volunteers to run the harness trampolines - specifically on Friday. All money goes to the organizations volunteering to help with the jump cards. Five older teenagers and/or adults are needed!

Harness Trampolines at the Fair – July 17 & 18!

We are excited to bring Harness Trampolines to the fair, and we are looking for organizations to help operate them.

We are seeking groups with older teenagers and adults who are willing to help supervise and assist participants. This is a great opportunity for clubs, church groups, sports teams, or community organizations to raise money during a busy week at the fair.

Here’s how it works:

• 📅 July 17 6-9 p.m. & July 18 7-10 p.m.
• 🙋‍♂️ Older teens and adults preferred to help
• 🎟 Jump Cards sold in the Fair Office during fair week
• 💲 $20 per Jump Card (includes 5 harness trampoline entries)
• 🚫 No early-bird pricing, each jump is $5 without jump card.
• 💵 Fair Board pays organizations based on number of jump cards sold
• 🎉 All money raised from jump cards goes directly to the helping organization(s).

This is a simple and fun fundraiser that allows your group to earn money while being part of a great fair event.
